MY BLUE RIDGE

Verse 1
At times I feel shattered,
And overwhelmed by my world.
So, I close my eyes,
Lift my head from the floor.
Remembering that mountain top view,
That I used to go to.
A campfire and guitar,
An escape I can’t lose.
Chorus 1
Take me to, the high land ridge,
Past that old Shenandoah bridge.
Where I can be, just little ‘ol me,
Over the shadows, of my Blue Ridge.
Verse 2
It holds the pieces,
Of what’s left of me.
And I’ll find my answers,
To everything I need.
I can’t take for granted,
The hand that’s been handed to me.
Looking out at the valley,
Just as far as I can see.

Chorus 2
Take me to, the high land ridge,
Past that old Shenandoah bridge.
Where I can be, just little ‘ol me,
Over the shadows, of my Blue Ridge.
Bridge
If I just close my eyes,
Follow the Virginia Pine.
I’ll find a way,
To those Blue Ridge skies.
Chorus 3
Take me to, the high land ridge,
Past that old Shenandoah bridge.
Where I can be, just little ‘ol me,
Over the shadows, of my Blue Ridge.
Take me to, the high land ridge,
Past that old Shenandoah bridge.
Where I can be, just little ‘ol me,
In the memory of, my Blue Ridge.
